The big celebrity events coming up in Vegas are Nelly’s Celebrity Weekend at the Red Rock Resort, and the Ante Up for Africa poker event at the Rio. Nelly’s Celebrity Weekend will take place on June 6, and will debut Nelly’s long-awaited album Brass Knuckles. There will be some of Nelly’s closest friends, celebrities and some lucky contest winners in attendance. Nelly will also perform live.

The Ante Up for Africa poker event at the Rio has replaced the celebrity/media event of previous years. The charity event is a favorite of all the celebrities who come to town to play in the main event. More than 120 celebrities will attend the invitation-only event.

This is the second year running for the tournament. It’s played to create awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Darfur. Each player buys-in for $5,000 and a portion of the prize pool goes to aid Darfur.
