Obama

It’s no secret that Hollywood and the Democratic Party of America are on the same page most of the time. In the past many celebrities have campaigned for the party in their own way, but this election the star power has been turned down a bit. Instead of public support many stars are getting involved in benefits to support Obama. One such event is a poker night which is being funded by the Poker Player’s Alliance, in conjunction with a veteran’s organization.

The PPA will run events at both party’s National Conventions to continue to lobby for poker’s legalization online. They want to create goodwill toward the game, which has been attacked by Congress for the last two years. Expected to attend are Seth Meyers, Paul Rudd, Ben Affleck, and Sarah Silverman. A few notable poker players will also attend the event, including Andy Bloch, Barry Greenstein, and Erik Seidel.
