Check out the pool at the Flamingo Hotel in Vegas. Is this cool or what?
When I’m in Vegas in the summer I don’t go outside for anything – it’s much too hot. With temperatures well over 100 degrees, even the mist sprays don’t take the edge off the Nevada heat. The temperatures stop you from walking around to see the sights, and don’t even think about golf unless you’re from a warm climate and are used to the heat. Unless I’m heading to the pool for a dip and some rays, the air-conditioned casino is the place to be.
Most of the Strip is connected via pedway or Monorail. You can tour the other casinos and shop in all the boutiques. The spa options alone could take you days to enjoy. Take in a show or one of many amusement parks, all indoors. The summer in Vegas is a time to hit the tables and enjoy some free beverages until your evening entertainment plans begin.
Stay cool at home by playing at your favorite online casino!

Bad taste has always been a big part of the Vegas lifestyle. There’s everything from drive-through wedding chapels to Elvis-themed ministers. The theme casinos take tacky to a whole new level. Hooters Casino has to be the worst. An entire resort dedicated to catering to men that have a breast fetish seems to be over the top to me. The prostitutes must stay close to that hotel.
Downtown in the Fremont Street district you’ll find a collection of old tacky casinos. Some still even have sawdust on the floor, and entice people into the casino with $0.99 shrimp cocktails. The light show at the front entrance to the Fremont Hotel can’t get much tackier.
The Luxor’s Egyptian-themed resort is considered one of the tackiest things ever done in Vegas. This hotel represents the worst of Vegas; overpriced rooms with poor quality food and even worse service.
