Breaking news: Paris Hilton was spotted partying in Las Vegas last week!
This summer has been a slow one for Las Vegas. The economy and the heat have kept vacationers away as they use their money for expensive fill-ups at the gas station. But the economy doesn’t slow down the celebrities, who have enough money to be unaffected by rising gas prices.
The most recent star sighting was Paris Hilton, who showed up at Pure nightclub last week. She thrilled the crowd by singing her version of the Rod Stewart classic “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy”.
Missy Elliot had her 37th birthday party at the Tao in Las Vegas last week. She had a crew of friends and family, and got a really nice cake.
Sly Stallone was seen at the Beatles Revolution Lounge at the Mirage for the Malibu Strings Red White and Bikinis party. Also, Lawrence Taylor and Jermaine Dupri were spotted dining at Strip House inside the Planet Hollywood casino.

If you see Amy Winehouse in Vegas leave her alone. Please.
1. Don’t bother celebrities. You’ll get bounced faster than you can say Paris Hilton.
2. Don’t wait until the late hours to go, get in line early if you want to get in at all.
3. Don’t leave one bar to go to another, unless you have VIP at the door to get in.
4. Don’t waste your money on drinks for friendly prostitutes, unless you want to.
5. Don’t wear sweat pants or shorts, you won’t get in unless you’re dressed.
1. Do have a few free drinks in the casino before you go.
2. Do tip your waitress well if you want to see her again.
3. Do ask the price for a bottle of Champagne.
4. Do plan to meet friends in certain spots at certain times.
5. Do pay for drinks and food in cash, as credit card tabs can get out hand and padded by staff.

Tera Patrick gets her own gaming pit at Mandalay Bay.
Most porn stars spend time in Vegas. All the porn conventions are in Sin City and the industry itself has many companies based out of Vegas. Ron Jeremy is a regular about town, and has even promoted gaming-related businesses like the now-defunct online poker room Naked Poker. Jeremy is a tireless worker, but I guess any guy would be in that business.
Tera Patrick has recently entered a partnership with Hard Rock. She will appear as a hostess at their tenant nightclubs. And 40 Deuce at Mandalay Bay had her as a guest burlesque dancer. They will also open the Tera Patrick’s Gaming Pit on the main floor of the casino. The dealers will be called Hell’s Belles.
Nightclubs like Jet or Laxx will host porn-related parties for new movie releases or porn conventions. Most Vegas clubs run promotions, like bikini contests, with porn stars as the attraction.

When it comes to cocktail bars you can’t stay the same forever. It helps business to change up things every now and then. There are some bars in Vegas that are desperately in need of a reno job.
My Cousin Vinny’s Sports Bar is one spot that needs a new look. How old is that movie? Seriously, why is this bar still named after a movie from the early nineties? Do we really need another karaoke bar with crappy memorabilia all over the walls?
The Double Down Saloon is another bar that could use a facelift in a big way. This place has psychedelic murals covering every inch of the walls and ceiling, while disturbing videos come at you from all directions.
Davey’s Locker needs a new look after 40 years. The fake portholes and empty tables should be a sign to the owners that this place needs a reno job.

Who knows…maybe you’ll bump into Britney Spears this 4th of July?
A long weekend is a favorite time for celebrities to head to Vegas to celebrate. The July 4th holiday is one of the biggest parties of the year in town, and every casino and nightclub hosts big parties for the rich and famous. It’s one of the best opportunities of the year to go star searching, because numerous celebrities flock to the city.
The holiday, combined with the main event of the WSOP, fills the Palms Hotel with television, movie and sports celebrities. The best place to find celebrities is around the Rio during the day, and in the hottest night clubs at night, like VooDoo Lounge, Prive and Blush.
A lot of the younger stars stay at the Palms, and can be seen around the pools, usually in private cabanas. The Poker Lifestyle Show usually boasts a lot of famous people either promoting a product of theirs or playing in a poker tournament.
